Mikhail Petersen: Legal Advocacy Officer, Gender Dynamix

He holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Politics & Economic History (UCT) and well as an LLB (UCT). He was also admitted as an Attorney in 2024. Mikhail believes in the law as a tool for social change and its ability to result in the realisation of the rights of the marginalised. Prior to their Position at GDX, they have occupied positions at The Institute for Justice and Reconciliation, Ndifuna Ukwazi and The Legal Resource Centre.

Melody Seherrie is a transgender woman and advocate for the transgender community. As Media Marketing and Communications Manager at Gender Dynamix, she promotes awareness and support for transgender issues and rights. With expertise in Social Work, Melody amplifies marginalised voices and creates inclusive campaigns.

Her journey as a transgender woman fuels her commitment to social change, inspiring resilience and courage in others.
