Your PATHSA membership
This is the members’ side of PATHSA: the monthly CPD programme, the resources the association gathers, and the community of practitioners you belong to. Everything here is for members. The association’s public work — who we are, what we advocate for, how to reach us — lives on pathsa.org.za.
What your membership gives you
PATHSA is an interdisciplinary association. Its members are psychologists, doctors, speech therapists, social workers, nurses and researchers, and most of the value of belonging comes from that mix — from being able to ask a question of someone whose training is not your own.
- Monthly CPD sessions. A talk every month on Zoom, from clinical decision-making to voice and communication therapy to the ethics of informed consent. Open to every active member, including members on the free Student level.
- The session archive. Past talks, with recordings where speakers have agreed to them being shared.
- Clinical resources. Guidance and reference material gathered by the association for practitioners working in gender-affirming care.
- The member community. A moderated WhatsApp group for questions, referrals and the occasional second opinion.
- Symposium and AGM. The annual gathering, at a member rate.

Something not working?
If a page will not load, a link is broken, or your membership is not showing correctly, tell us rather than working around it — it is almost always quick to fix and you are unlikely to be the only person affected. Use the contact details on pathsa.org.za.
